The History of the Greenwood Family
It had been a cold winter. Kallindra had not had the time to cut the wood for the fire place, and she wasn't making enough from her tavern to cover the expenses of herself and her two children, Alandrea and Talon. To top all of it off, she was recovering from her recently failed marriage to Geoff Reich, the father of her two children.
The young elven man had entered her tavern, and as usual she did not show much interest, she had enough troubles with out dealing with romance as well.
After a few drinks the man introduced himself, Teliath was the name he gave her... but he also admitted that he had another, Solstice. As always, she asked him to call her Kall. A few more drinks passed, and she noticed that it was time for more firewood, but she was far too tired to go out and cut it herself... and so Solstice said he would... she protested, of course she had no way to repay him.. but he did it anyway.
It had been three meetings since that night, and Solstice said he wanted to show her something. Business was slow, so Kall agreed, and soon they were walking deep into the heart of the forests that surrounded her tavern. After hours of walking, the reached the edge of a meadow, and Solstice hid the both of them behind a bush. It was only a few more minutes before the unicorns appeared... two of them. Kall had never seen anything like that before, and it was completely amazing to her, they made love right there behind the bushes, and love it definitely was.
It was only a few days afterwards that Kall told him that she was pregnant with the first of their children, and after her usual short gestation period, their son, Farran was born.
It was a few happy months after his birth that tragdey struck. Kall had been tending the tavern late one night while Solstice, who had moved in by now, was out on one of his many expoditions, and she was robbed. One of her friends came in soon after, and took her to bed, where she asked for a mug of hot chocolate (a potent aphrodisiac for her), and he did more than just hold her in bed.
It was a few days after that that Solstice found out with the aid of a mind-reader. The bond they had formed (in which they can feel eachother's emotions) nearly killed him, and it took almost all the powers Kall had to keep him from dying, but despite that fact, he left her, and took Farran with him. He was completely crazy, and often came in to inflict a kind of torture upon Kall, who felt as if she wanted to die for what she'd done. Gradually, however, he regained his senses, and forgave Kall, moving back in.
Soon after he moved back in... another child was born, Destiny. 18 year later, Solstice headed off to war to help protect a nearby elf clan. The worry of his leaving put Kall into a trance like state. In the mean time a friend of her's would stop by to check on the children and be sure that she was alright. Farran, being rather animal and child like in his sensing, found this somewhat suspicious... and reported this to his father before anyone else could speak of it.
Despite her obvious incapacitation, Solstice insisted on taking her with him to the party the Elves were throwing. Once he got the story straight, he and Kall conceived their second son, Andarin.
During her pregnancy with Andarin, Kall became sick, the complication being that she would no longer be able to bear children... or so they thought. Solstice didn't have the heart to tell his wife that she was unable to have any more children. It was a cold winter night when the birth control she was still using had run out... and again they conceived, twins. Solstice was quite shocked when her heard the news, and let it slip that Kall had been supposedly unfertile (he spared telling her, knowing that she would probably be unable to recover from that fact), which unfortunately led to Kall throwing a rather large fit... and many other things for that matter. However, as with most all fights they had, Kall soon recovered.
Duvessa and Trace, the last of Solstice and Kall's children. They are quickly growing and Kall is getting along in age, soon this will turn to the story of their children.
